My old man died that day. Was in bits trying to decide what to do about going to the game in the first place. He was in hospital and my sister was with him. He died literally just after Paul Konchesky put us in the lead. The rest of the game and the journey back are a total blur.

Hell of a journey to see the match and a hell of a finish to the day at Cardiff not even an overnight stay BC Senior (Dad) died the same week so saw him for a last time....Not a trip I want to remember in all honesty.

I take some comfort having other fans acknowledge it as the best cup final of recent times.

I bagged a freebie VIP ticket from my Employers. What a touch. Food, drink. Best seats in the house. Met Trev, TC, few ex Scouse players. Spoke to Danny Dyer after - like me, he was absolutely choked.
I got married that Summer and in my speech said...
